I'm trying to decide between three midfields (my top four midfielders)
Ablett + Pendlebury + Mitchell + Vince (currently have)
OR
Ablett + Swan + Pendlebury + Vince (by downgrading Rohan to Podsiadly)
OR
Ablett + Pendlebury + Mitchell + Ball (leaving $71,300 in the bank to upgrade something)

I also have four rookies for my midfield, Martin, Barlow, Jetta & Banner.

Hey Babylove

So when attempting to assist in choosing the "upper crust" of your midfield, my belief is to pick guys who you think will remain the WHOLE year!

I like option one, why?

Well simply as I have discussed elsewhere i believe Dane Swan to be overpriced, which could affect squad balance and any loss of points could hurt the trading pocket as frustration over high expectations not being met causes that NO-NO sideways trade.

Ball is someone who has injury history and as such is doubtful to complete 19 games this year - now for a major player not to suit-up for 4 games is a major downer and as such should best be avoided - as an upgrade i wouldn't recommend spending that kind of cash either.

So short answer - No Swan or Ball is my sincere recommendation. I think that giving reasons for choice to people is important so sorry about the novel.

But as always trust your own gut instinct.

Option 1 or 3 for mine. I just cant have Swan for no reason other than the fact i don't like him. I don't care if it costs me in the end, he is one of only 5 players that i just refuse to consider each year. Didak, Koschitzke, Burton and Hall are the others.

You have Ablett and Pendlebury in all of those options, so your question is:
Mitchell + Vince + Rohan
Swan + Vince + Podsiadly
Mitchell + Ball + Rohan

I think #2 is the best scoring wise, but #3 has the extra money.
It really comes down to whether you think Ball will be a gun this year (#3) or not (#2)

If you need the cash which can be handy for trades take option 3
But i think the option with Dane Swan will earn you more points.
