Hey guys this is just a question of personal preference:

Bartel or J.Selwood to fill my second Premium mid positon behind Ablett?

I intially had Selwood however I read he sustained a minor ankle injury in the final NAB challenge game against Freo.
Bartel has also been talked about as being thrust into the midfield more this season which will improve his scoring?
I had Selwood in my draft team for this year due to his younger body and more consistant scoring (relevant when considering Vice captain) then Bartel last year, however as above there are a few things to consider.

Let me know what you guys think...

For me i would advise you to go for Selwood but if you need the money later on for trades go for Bartel as he may have more upside. Anyway Joel Selwood should be alright for round 1
Here is there supercoach scores against Essendon last year
Selwood 136 Bartel 102

I think that you should go Bartel, my reasoning behind this is i think that selwood would be tagged before jimmy. This would allow Bartel to have more freedom

Selwood and Bartel had the same amount of tons last year, and averaged much the same. But Selwood played all 22 (Bartel 21) and that's the deciding factor for me.

Selwood has more upside, but Bartel a new role.

There's really nothing in it - pick one and watch him go well, or both

But

However, I wouldn't really want 3 mids from Geelong; Ablett, Selwood, Bartel

Selwood for mine... hes only 21, another pre season into him, and from what iv seen it looks like he has bulked up a bit more...

jimmy will most likely stay around his average from 09, or maybe a bit more, but who knows what joel could do this year
