Hiya everyone
I just thought I would post my current position to see what you guys think I should do from this point onwards
I've got 10 trades and $55,300 left - and I'm in 13,406th overall

Hodge, Goddard, Malceski, Enright, Gilbert, Shaw, Hurn + (Maguire, Webberly)
Ablett, Barlow, Hayes, Goodes, Mitchell, Howlett + (Shuey, JKT)
Sandiland, Tippett + (Trengove, Warnock)
Pavlich, Brown, Didak, ROK, Gia, Ballantyne, Podsiadly + (Rockliff, P Davis)

So of those, only Ballantyne, Howlett and Tippett need to be upgraded. So that's 3 trades which leaves me 7. But I'll probably need 2-3 downgrades of bench players to allow that.

Ballantyne needs to go soonish I reckon, and possibly Howlett -> Gysberts next week looks ok? Keep Tippett?

Any thoughts would be appreciated

I like the look of your team so far. Backs are all-premium, so that probably doesn't need to be touched. I agree with your need to upgrade Howlett/Tippett/Ballantyne. I'd keep the forward line til last, because at the moment it is just too hard to see who is the front-runner for consistency.

Howlett I think is the best player to upgrade imo, given the heap of players on the cheap. Maguire for cash? I'd go for the ruck second, trading for Kruezer/Hille (although Tippett just got 100 this week...)

I do notice a small issue with the lack of coverage in the midfield, with both Shuey and JKT not playing. I'm almost erring on a sideways trade to Gysberts to start building some cash for the future.

Pretty good trades so far. 8/10.

Possibly Maguire -> Heath this week, then JKT -> Gysberts and Howlett -> Gun next one...?
We'll see how the prices go

I'm not convinced that Heath will generate cash OR have job security. I don't think this week will have many good trade options down back.

It looks as though all the players listed as trade bait will go up in the next 2 weeks. I'd wait and see how much Chapman comes down next week then trade Ballantyne for him.

I'm very happy with Ballantyne's 117, and with that and a 79 sitting in his average, his B/E is just 23.
Meanwhile, Chapman needs 163 to keep his price...

I need just over $212,500 to get Chapman in this week, and so hopefully that will drop to below $180,000 by next week.

That means I can hopefully downgrade any of Rockliff, P Davis, Trengove (PA), Maguire (who I could this week) to get me the money to get Chapman

I was also looking to trade Ballantyne this week until I saw his BE is 23. He has only really played the two bad games against Saints and pies. I'd be sticking with him for a few more weeks and hopefully see the price go up. Esp, if the dockers keep playing like they did on the weekend.

Yeah I agree about holding him for at least a week more, and particularly because there's basically nothing for me to upgrade him to (apart from Chapman).

Hopefully it will work out nicely that Balla peaks out at ~$400,000 when Chappy comes down to ~$600,000, meaning that I need only ~$150,000 (already have 50k) - which could be any of Maguire (with plenty spare)/Rockliff/Trengove from PA/Phil Davis...
