Goddard, Hodge, Malceski, Gilbee, Enright, Newman, Waters, (Silvagni, Davis)
Ablett, Montagna, Pendlebury, Gibbs, Barlow, Cooney, (Armstrong, Gysberts)
Sandilands, Naitanui (Warnock, Roughead)
Chapman, Pavlich, O'Keefe, Harvey, Didak, Podsiadly, Henderson, (Brown, Hitchcock)

This week, Barlow is probably going to be traded for Judd, pending absolute disaster. Currently have 6 trades and $27k in the bank. Players underlined have MPP status that I can utilise (I'm thinking about bringing in Waite and one other to fully utilise the def/fwd MPP ability).

My question for the forum is whether I should really push for overall or to just settle for league glory. I'm currently ranked 793 and struggling to keep that spot. If you say go, my next question is what my next move should be. I'm thinking of upgrading Waters, Naitanui or F7 position, but with Brown looking to come in soon, that might not be necessary. Given my low bank, any upgrade will mean double-trade, which will leave me on 3 trades left, which is a bit risky for my liking. But like they say, no risk, no reward!

Thoughts appreciated.

I'm ranked slightly above you at 660 and I would be still pushing for Overall with risks. I have Ryder as my R2 but this has caused my backline to suffer with waters and Kennelly being my weak links and Rockcliff due for an upgrade in my Forward Line.

I would go for the risk and upgrade the F7 as well as trading out Barlow to a Judd!

I, myself, am gonna have 2 trades left after my team has settled and at the moment I have been forced to keep Kennelly at D7 (hoping he can average 75 for the remainder of the season).

In summary, I would be going for it, which could mean sacrificing a league win but it would allow you to finish as high as you possibly can.

Great team Fubuki. I would definitely look at upgrading Nic Nat as soon as possible. Waters is probably a satisfactory last defender, especially with your great bench coverage and Brown should dominate when he's back so I wouldn't worry about the F7.

To both Jibba and Fubuki - well done on your teams and rankings so far.

@ Fubuki the following players are what I believe will likely prevent a higher ranking.
Pendlebury( @ M 6 is ok), Gibbs, & Cooney.
Cooney and Gibbs although highly rated simply are not the very top shelf - so I would do the one required trade.
Even when you consider that you will draft in Judd, everyone else will be doing that or similar i.e Swan and Montagna.

Bearing that in mind I would not really be trying to jump up the rankings as you are competing against mids with the following six Ablett, Swan, Montagna, Judd, Selwood & NDS.

Deep down you must realise this - keep your five trades - only upgrade Nic when you absolutely have to.
The beauty about this team is your bench coverage across all lines and who knows Warnock may even get his chance as Hampson is still very raw.

I would think that by natural attrition and that super strong bench coverage you are likely to rise up the rankings anyway!

League Glory is yours Fubuki!

Thanks for the input guys. An interesting diversity of opinions means I'm still undecided.

The decision is still up for debate, but for this week I'm bringing in Judd. I guess if I was dead-set going for league, I would've traded down for someone around $480k and used the cash to further improve my bench coverage with Waite. The option is still open for another week, but it'll involve a double-trade, putting me on 3 trades remaining.

@ lozza, I agree on your point, my last three mids probably won't get me the scores. I'll pin my hopes that they'll all have blinders for the rest of the year and perform better than NDS, Selwood, etc. Grin
