For some reason there is no topic on Pods so I thought I'd make one, because he looks to be in the team for a while..........

To the people who don't have Pods in their team- What were you thinking?  Cheesy

Now that Pods is a proven scorer I have to trade Danger who is languishing on my bench

As the 9th most selected player, I'd say anyone who's anyone has Pods. The guy is a legend. Even if the Pod wasn't a proven scorer, I don't think I could ever trade him out...too much of a legend.  Cheesy

Wellsy,

Agree

I have Pods - like most people, couldn't not have him he gives hope to every bloke playing footy who has dreamed of a chance.  I hope this makes AFL teams look at players in the secondary competitons who have been consistent performers with mature bodies who can play league football first year, read the play and understand positioning without having to spend 4 years on a list, developing their physique, learning "structures" and getting 100 games under their belt - of which probably 20 good ones.

I reckon he could. Hall, Brown and Bradshaw all had shockers. Pav is his main competition at the moment.

Great to see him back with Higgins being rested.

Off subject-I am pissed off the Geelong V Collingwood game is on delay in Adelaide Friday night.

Just a question guys. Obviously as a KPP Pods is unlikely to keep his 100+ average but what does everyone seriously think he will average by the end of the year? I think a 95 average seems suitably optimistic.

Originally I would have said 50-60, but he has got off to a massive start and looks capable of doing the things that bring in the big points and not merely getting <10 touches and a couple of goals. An 80+ average looks on the cards and he could be a potential keeper if he can hold his spot and his form. Even if he's not a keeper, he seems set to bring his value up to the point where it will not take much to upgrade him to a premium.

At least being a mature-age recruit it is unlikely that he'll drop off due to a lack of fitness as the season wears on.

It's an effing joke. South Australia together with Victoria is AFL heartland yet Vics get the game live, and we get 90min delay. I refuse to watch channel 7 football, I used to love it, but they have ruined it.

At least you don't live in ACT or NSW. Saturday night game (can't remember which one) came on at midnight last week. Ludicrous. Rugby is clearly inferior.

26 points at half time.. He is trying but the game really isn't suited to big forwards. I also have a feeling he much prefers playing at Skilled Stadium.
