PROMISING PREMIUM PERFORMANCES
Daniel Giansiracusa, $450 100, 2 impressive games in a row has Gia sitting on many teamsheets at the moment. Played in the midfield again and that move looks to be permanent. 9 marks, 7 tackles, 22 disposals and a goal for 119SC has many licking lips.
Colin Sylvia, $480 800, played in a NAB Challenge game so I only have a bit of 2nd hand information on how he went. Was prolific, racking up decent possession numbers, as we look to him to break out in 2010.
Luke Hodge, $485 600, played another solid game in the midfield considering below-average TOG. Shouldn’t really be classed in ‘promising premium performances’ because this buy is guaranteed!
Paul Duffield, $517 500, impressed again especially in the first half, running off the half-back and floating into the midfield. Efficient with the ball and hit the right targets off the half-back.
Jonathan Brown, $525 400, played in a NAB Challenge game so I only have a bit of 2nd hand information on how he went. In the first Fev & Brown show; it’s looking like Brown won’t be affected too much by the addition of Fevola. Booted 3 goals and pushed hard up the ground working for more kicks and marks.
Bryce Gibbs, $568 600, played in a NAB Challenge game so I only have a bit of 2nd hand information on how he went. Played a good game, was particularly good with his kicking and generated quite a few inside 50s.
Sam Mitchell, $576 300, a good inside player and yet is fed the ball a lot by his teammates. Backed up his 167 with a SC score of 111 this week and he’s slowly converting me!
Chris Judd, $589 300, played in a NAB Challenge game so I only have a bit of 2nd hand information on how he went. Standout on the ground; smashing the clearances and was prolific racking up large possession numbers.
Brendon Goddard, $613 600, this last game highlights exactly why Goddard was a significant step above the rest of the defenders in ’09. BOG before being subbed off in the 4th quarter and was absolutely everywhere on the ground. A blessing he’s still listed in the backline and is THE premium SC backman.
DISAPPOINTING PREMIUM PERFORMANCES
Brendan Fevola, $495 700, played in a NAB Challenge game so I only have a bit of 2nd hand information on how he went. Another disappointing game. Fevola played a poor game and only kicked a couple.
Adam Goodes, $607 200, too well-held again and doesn’t look like he’s going to be a great SC performer in his new role. Permanent forwards need to be big goal kickers to be great scorers and Goodes ain’t looking the goods. His only SC hope is if we start seeing him occasionally push up the ground again.

Goodes could be a “good” upgrade target from a Barry Hall?!
